TallyPrime, from Tally Solutions, is a widely used accounting and business management product, particularly in India and the Gulf region. FiscFort is a different kind of product: a dedicated, per-customer Odoo environment built specifically for Belgian and Lithuanian accounting practices. Two different approaches
TallyPrime is licensed software installed on your own computer, with optional cloud access and browser-based reports. Its statutory support depends on the country selected when the company is created, and the documented countries are India, the GCC countries, Kenya and Saudi Arabia. FiscFort is built on Odoo Community with our own added modules, and every end customer receives a dedicated Odoo environment on dedicated infrastructure, with Belgian and Lithuanian statutory outputs.

Where FiscFort is different
Built for Belgium and Lithuania. Tally's documented statutory support covers India, the Gulf region and Kenya. FiscFort supports Belgium and Lithuania today, including payroll, Peppol and Intervat for Belgium, with more countries planned. Odoo is updated every night so changes in applicable law reach clients quickly.
Bank data in the standard European format. Reconciliation works from CAMT.053 statements, with no conversion step; TallyPrime imports Excel, CSV and MT940 for banks on its supported list.
Isolation by architecture. Each client runs in a fully isolated, dedicated environment — security comes from how the system is built, not only from software settings.
Browser access, not installed software. Accountants open each client's Odoo directly in the browser, without licences or installations per computer.
Where Tally may still fit
TallyPrime suits businesses in India and the Gulf region that want desktop software with local GST or VAT compliance. If your practice doesn't serve Belgian or Lithuanian clients, Tally's documented regional coverage is broader across South Asia and the Gulf. The comparison comes down to which region's statutory rules your clients actually need.
